Meet the Team

Founder
Rosa Huang
Rosa is a first-generation immigrant born in Belgium who has spent two decades living and working across Asia in senior mergers & acquisitions roles for Goldman Sachs, Cisco Systems, and Accenture using her native French and fluent English and Mandarin to connect international interests. After years of globetrotting, she found home in East Africa when she and her family arrived in Kampala in 2015.
Rosa’s business approach is a unique blend of corporate and start-up experience. During her move away from banking she found yoga, kitesurfing and pole dancing where she gained a balanced and holistic perspective and is now a certified teacher for yoga and pole-dancing. Now she uses her energy to empower other female entrepreneurs in Uganda from Kampala where she resides with her husband and daughters.

Communications
Jordan Cowan
Jordan grew up in rural Oregon with a deep appreciation for nature and explored it through the sciences by studying biology and chemistry. He embarked on his first journey outside of North America by volunteering as a Peace Corps public health worker in Uganda for a two-year contract, that was extended for a third year. After briefly working with an international gender-based violence prevention training program with men, the pandemic forced him to make a decision on where to be and he chose Uganda.
Late in 2020, Jordan joined forces with Rosa as her business partner, drawn to the intersection of health, agriculture, and sustainability which aligned with his love of nature and creating access and opportunities for marginalized communities. He has embraced the dynamic and diverse social atmosphere of Kampala, where he is always eager to learn something new from everyone he meets.

the glue
Leonae Graf
Leonae grew up on a small island in the Philippines with a Filipino mother, a Swiss father, and friends from all over the world. She studied international management and economics in Switzerland but always returned home for holidays spent windsurfing and kitesurfing. On one of those trips, she met Rosa, who shared an idea about exporting dried fruit from Uganda. That seed of an idea became what is now known as DoGood, and they’ve since traveled to many places together, learning and building along the way.
Known as the “glue” in her friend groups, Leonae naturally brings people and ideas together. Her background, timing, and curiosity all clicked to help shape many of her personal projects, including DoGood.
Outside of work, she has more hobbies than she can keep track of, often diving into them in phases. She loves tennis, kitesurfing, windsurfing, boxing, yoga, and climbing. Cooking (with plenty of cheese), spending time with her four dogs, and solo travel adventures keep her inspired and balanced.
